MY TOP FIVE SONGS/ALBUMS: FEBRUARY 2023 (+ tips and recommendations)

Hey Charlie, long time no see... Well, I'm writing this article because, why not. So this article will be about my top 5 new albums/songs from this month, let's get started! I'll add the links to the albums and some personal recommendations for each artist.

1. ALBUM: RUMOURS by FLEETWOOD MAC

https://open.spotify.com/album/0BwWUstDMUbgq2NYONRqlu?si=uHKFNpvbQl2ep9lPIp9TeQ

It's an old album sure but it's still a hit! If you just want to listen to music and do something else or just lay down and do nothing, this is the album for you! My personal favorite songs from this album are:
- Dreams
- You make loving fun
- The chains
If you like Fleetwood mac, you should try the smiths. It's not really the same style but the smiths are great!

2. ALBUM: THE SOUTH GOT SOMETHING TO SAY by POUYA

https://open.spotify.com/album/0NE2xFN8Kw4mzQiDND5b1F?si=AdZB4M7MQhiE-k3wIcxj8A

This is an old album but personally my favorite. Pouya makes all his songs so diverse and original that is why I like this album a lot. My personal favorites are:
- 95
-FIVE SIX
- TALK TO ME BEFORE I DIE
If you like Pouya, I would recommend listening to his latest album, it's more rap than hip-hop but it's still good. + if you like this album PLEASE go listen to Brent Faiyaz!! you won't regret it.

3. SONG: THE KEY by TALISCO

This song reminds me so much of summer by the beach it's incredible! The overall vibe of the song just feels right and freeing, I totally recommend this song + if you like this song go listen to "Downtown" by Majical Cloudz, it's a bit more chill than The keys but it's still a vibe.

4. SONG: INFLUENCER by ASCENDANT VIERGE

To all my techno lovers this is really good!! Ascendant Vierge is a french duo, so the song is in french but the beats are really good and diverse!! Go listen to their album if you like or want to start listening to techno, this is a good start! PS! if you really like them, they are going to be at this year's MARSATAC as a headliner!!
If you like them I've got two recommendations for you. The first is FRENCH79 his music is really good and in concert, it's even better (from personal experience). listen to his songs "diamond veins" and "hometown" you won't regret it! And my second recommendation is the song "la teuf des farfadet" by GUIGOO, if you know, you know but if you don't just listen to it, it's a techno classic!

5. ALBUM: STUP FOREVER by STUPEFLIP

https://open.spotify.com/album/5odvYJk4kNw2UZmOB2SQ0K?si=4wOPhchtTfiCLx5LUUlB7A

Stupeflip is a french CLASSIC! All their albums are great but this is my favorite album (the latest one).
If you listen to Stupeflip respect!!! I honestly hate french rap but Stupeflip made me change my mind!
my fav songs from this album are:
- Sharkattack
- Tellement bon
- COSMOS 1999
If you like them, I recommend listening to the other albums and listening to LE DE album "delta plane" it's the second french rapper that I really like so, yeah check it out.

ok, it's the end of my blog, thank you for reading if you have, and feel free to put a comment :)

and a little tip for Spotify users or others: listen to your weekly generated playlist made by the music platform it's really worth it!
The "discover weekly" playlist helps you discover so many new songs and artists, try it because it's a life changer!

(it really sounds like I'm sponsored by Spotify..... anyways yeah bye)

  2. Hi, thank you for your recommendations ! I went to listen to Pouya's album and really enjoyed it (especially the song "superman is dead"). Actually I really wasn't expecting this kind of music when I first saw the album cover, so the conclusion is "don't judge an album by its cover" :)
