Ben Okri

Dear Charlie,
Here's a great article about literature, which is particularly interesting for those of you who are, or who will be, studying post-colonial literature. Which makes all of the OIB section, anyway! It should make you want to read some of the books he mentions. I particularly recommend "The Dead" by James Joyce. Ben Okri himself is a Nigerian novelist who won the Booker Prize for "The Famished Road" in 1991, so he knows what he's talking about! Nevertheless, the article is already controversial. I'll post somebody's riposte in the comments when I can!
All the best,
Mr Leah
