Heyy I'm back again!

As you may know, M. Lévêque, Mr Leah and a large part of the 1ère students went to London, almost two months ago: a memorable trip placed under the sign of cultural and intellectual fulfilment, arousing a perpetual thirst for knowledge in our minds, and curiosity and dynamism being our only policies. However, many of my friends revealed moments of weakness I hastened to immortalise, being myself a particularly awake individual.

 Thanks to Silène and Angela, without whom this project would have been way less concentrated.

a London story

Hi guys!
 Today I want to talk to you about our London trip and what we did during our visit of Canary Wharf, a commercial district in east London. : it is one of the main financial centres of the UK which contains many of Europe's tallest buildings, including the second-tallest in the UK, One Canada Square.

During our lunch break, Mr Bishop asked us to go around and (if possible) interview people about what they were doing here. Silene, Malka and I discovered a whole new world were bankers and workers live together. However, we quickly understood that they don't have the same view on London and its commercial districts. We interviewed about ten people (excluding the many bankers in a hurry), who answered these following questions :
- What is your job?
- Do you live in this neighbourhood?
- What did you study?
- To you what makes London a city of influence?
The answers from the bankers were more or less similar. Most of them told us that they were bankers (we met old bankers, pround of their 25 years of experience as much as young ones who were discovering the financial industry) and that they studied finance, law or politics in well-known universities. To our final final question, we had answers like "London is a city of influence thanks to its diversity and cosmopolitanism". A woman also told us that finance is the only thing that remains to London now the Brexit had been voted.
When it comes to the workers, the answers were slightly different. They told us that they worked on construction sites and that they lived a long time away from here. Some of them told us that they didn't have the opportunity to go to university. "Money, of course!" was the answer we had from many workers to our last question.

I wanted to share with you "my highlights" of our London trip!

Even if it was not the first time I visited London, I discovered a lot during this week. Numerous beautiful parks, architecture, arts, food markets! Each photo captures something that made this trip wonderful.

Those last two pictures were taken during our last day in London, which was a "free time" day. We could go and do whatever we want in the city.  Sometimes we felt all grown-up even maybe a bit "Londoner", when we took the tube, talked to other people and walked in the street. 

LONDON TRIP

We just came back from London this morning and  I'm here to tell you how cool it was, and to show you that anywhere we were going there was something to remind us the OIB.

 He was there to remind us of the presentation of tomorrow...

 She was everywhere...
