And last but not least, Central Park .

the chuck/blair wedding was the prettiest in the series imo. : r/GossipGirl

Central Park is a beautiful urban park between the Upper West side and upper east side neighborhoods of Manhattan in NYC that was the first landscaped park in the United States.

The creation was first proposed in the 1840s and the construction began in 1857.

Most importantly, Central Park and to be exact, Bethesda Terrace is where Blair Waldorf and Chuck bass got married in the very last season of the show , episode 10 named « New York, I Love You XOXO. »

After years of tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship , our two lovers finally decided to get married amidst a major crisis. They finally got their happily ever after .

HOW A24 TOOK OVER HOLLYWOOD!!

If you watched Pearl, Priscilla, or Midsommar, you have probably noticed this A24 sign showing up at the very beginning. This sign is actually something that changed the film industry and literally took over Hollywood!!!1!1!1!!11

Hallooo  I’m Nana and I’m going to explain HOW A24 TOOK OVER HOLLYWOOD :3

It all started in 2012 in New York when Daniel Katz, David Frenkel, and John Hodges founded a small film distribution company. Why? There was this niche movie genre that had no spotlight—something totally different from romance, fantasy, or science fiction, etc. Let’s call it a 2010s style. These three guys wanted to put a spotlight on this new and unique genre by helping filmmakers (especially beginners). What’s different about A24 compared to other distribution companies is that they offer

 t o t a l  freedom. It’s basically the core purpose of their company.

Let’s compare some:

Paramount will buy films and acquire all rights (editing, screening, and promoting) to make money—lots of money. (No hate towards Paramount, btw.)

A24, on the other hand, gives total freedom of production to filmmakers and their teams, as well as offering their own support. (This is more accessible if you’re a small director with no experience, etc.)

A24 achieved significant success with Spring Breakers, directed by Harmony Korine and starring Selena Gomez (a purely strategic choice). And let me tell you, the movie made their careers GGGGGROW.

However, A24 isn’t just a distribution company with a unique way to promote their work; it’s also a brand!!!!

Memberships, merch, and even some quirky items like a pet rock (?????????????????) are part of their creative promotions. AND it works. Here are some examples I found interesting (including the pet rock lol):

pet rock from Everything Everywhere All At Once ( 2022 )

Priscilla X J.Hannah Silver Heart locket necklace
( Priscilla, 2023 )

MaXXXine Soundtrack Vinyl ( MaXXXine, 2024 )
I dream of this every nights

And also the membership!! (Includes: magazine subscription, all-access app, member pricing, and birthday gift (I NEED THIS!))

A24's Membership!

And here is also how they promoted one of their movies with a pop-up store in New York City! ( the pop-up is based on the movie A  Ghost Story: you can put sheets over yourself like a ghost and you'd get asked questions about the deep meaning of life, funny isn't it? )

A Ghost Story promoting Pop-up store.

So far, A24 has 16 Academy Awards wins, 8 Oscars, and has appeared many, many times at the Sundance Film Festival. And if you search on your own, I’m sure you’ll find many articles detailing how A24 took over Hollywood in terms of fame and influence!!

that's it Bye xx

edit: guyyys I can't reply to the comments because it doesn't work but you guys are so nice ilyall  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Résultat de recherche d'images pour "friends"

The thing I like the most about this show is how each character has his own thing like Joey has his own catchphrase : How you doinning , he loves to eat and he always goes to Monica's place to eat from their fridge  , Ross is always correcting everyone saying "Whom" instead of "Who" and he has the record of the most embarrassing dates ever , Monica is always yelling and saying : I KNOWW hahaha , she's a cleaning freak and she is so competitive even with herself ,  Rachel is just a sassy girl , she loves shopping and she's such a diva but in a funny and kind way , Phoebe is so weird but in a good way , she 's in another world , she's very spontaneous and you never know what she's doing but she is so sweet and you can't help loving her and finally , the one and only  Chandler  Bing , he is joke maker of this show , as he said in the show " he uses humour as a defense mechanism" , he has no experience with girls and you can clearly see that hahah

This show is so special and as you can see I'm obssessed with It , I know every detail of it because it's so funny and it was made in the best times in New York which is like the best city ever !

Breakfast at Tiffany's

           Hey Charlie !

I wanted to talk to you about a great movie, one of my favorite movies actually  “Breakfast at Tiffany's” by Blake Edwards.

I love this movie because Audrey Hepburn is in it, because the story is amazing, the dialogues are great, but also because I read this amazing book called ”Fifth Avenue, 5A.M” by Sam Wasson. In this book sam Wasson talks about all the genesis of the movie. How the duo Jurow and shepherd, two producers first had the idea to make a movie out of the book "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Truman Capote. How Audrey Hepburn started her career and why this role was one of the hardest for her. He also talks about life on the set of breakfast at Tiffany's and all the struggle they have been trough
The movie is about a girl, who's not sure of who she is, she once was called Lulla-Mae , but now, she's Holly Golightly, a New Yorker. She wants to find a place like tiffany's where nothing bad can happen. When she has the mean reds she goes to Tiffany's. That's where the title comes from. The mean reds is a expression that Holly uses. She says it's worse than the blues she described "the mean reds" as a feeling of being afraid, yet not knowing what you are afraid of.         Audrey Hepburn is for me one of the greatest actress of all times. She really touches me, whenever I see her in a movie I understand her, and fell like her. She can make me smile and laugh, even both at the same time. She's great.      The movie takes place in New York (when I went there I went to the brownstone where she lives in the movie, funny story it was for sale) especially in the upper east side. In the movie, I think New York is one of the characters. I mean this city is really powerful and it's the magic of NewYork who inspired Truman in the first place, so I think we could all thank New York.
How can I talk about “Breakfast at tiffany's” without talking about the great music Henri Mancini wrote. The movie won an Oscar for this beautiful music. When Holly sits on her window and sings “Moon River” that's where you fall in love with her.

If you like music, Audrey Hepburn, NewYork or if you are just curious you should definitely watch this movie.

See you soon !

Humans of Marseille

Hello hello Charlie!

Have you ever heard of the project "Humans of New York" ?
The concept began in the summer of 2010, according to its creator, Brandon Stanton. At first, he wanted to create an exhaustive catalogue of New York City's inhabitants, so he started taking pictures of random people in the streets and plot their photos on a map. Then he started collecting quotes and short stories from the people he met, and posted them alongside the photos on his blog. It quickly became quite a phenomenon, and I can easily understand why; it is a pleasant thing to read all those bits of strangers' lives, which are all so different and fascinating. It is like an answer to anyone who ever wondered, when walking around the city, "who is the person hiding behind this unknown face, what has he been through, where does he come from, what is he doing?"
(the link of his blog is here)

The concept had so much success that other photographers tried it in their city. I've just discovered one : Humans of Marseille ! And it is pretty cool. I advise you to go check the link, you might see Marseille from another point of view after this.
