Hey guys! Never been that productive on the blog! 

Today a small article about the Model United Nations Club (the debate club) which is run by Mr Leveque on Tuesday. This club is a simulation of the United Nations. If you’re interested in politics and diplomacy it’s basically made for you! 

In a nutshell, a specific topic is chosen and a country is attributed to you. Then, what you have to do is make some research about your country and his diplomatic relations in order to represent it as closely as reality as possible. What is really interesting is all the part about having to adopt a specific policy (which sometimes can really be opposed to your own ideas and point of view on the subject). For example, representing France or representing North Korea is totally different : you will not have the same point of view and definitely not support the same countries! 

I had the opportunity to go the MUN session which took place in Luynes last year. It really was awesome, indeed it is a great opportunity to meet people and improve your oral skills. I was representing Italy and was in the Security Council Committee. This year, I am going to Lyon for the ILYMUN and will represent Sweden in the Human Rights Committee.

Welcoming the new arrivals timetable!!

Hello everyone!!
So the seconde and première, we are expected to show up for a certain hour  the next week. Since this is the only place where I can find all of you, I'm writing this post for everyone to tell me which hour you want between Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday , from 8 I imagine till 5 in the afternoon.. I know i already asked you guys but few of you wanted to change their hour..
P.S: the first people who answer me get to have more choices so......

Ilymun 2017

Hi Charlie,So two months ago, 10 Oib students (Carla, Amandine, Raphael, Killian, Sacha, Juliette, Nadja, Ajna, Tara, I) went to Lyon accompanied by our history and geography teacher, M. Lévêque.The reason we went to Lyon wasn't for tourism (even if we had the chance to visit a little bit!) It was to participate in the IlYMUN conference. This Model of the United Nation had for main theme « Humanities in a constantly evolving world ». Personally, I was in the resource management committee, representing the delegation of Chile. The subject we debated were really interesting as they are real actual issues like managing the issue of brain drain, food distribution or ocean resources. I think all the delegate represented well their country’s position on the issues (sometimes a bit too much ahah). So this conference was really enriching intellectually because of the constant debating and negotiating, but also socially because of the numerous exchanges between students from all around France and foreign countries!

Hello Charlie and everyone,

It's high time we wish all our Section's friends and partners all the best for 2017.

As you know, I've used a MUN photo last year but this year, I'd like to use a photo featuring our 3 year groups. So I'd like as many volunteers as possible from Seconde, Première and Terminale to meet me at the beginning of the afternoon break on Wednesday, January 18 in front of the main staircase so that we can take a fun photo I can use. You can bring whatever props and accessories you can think of.  Let's rock the new year!

OIB's official anthem

Hey Charlie!

So something came to our mind with Judith, what if the OIB had an official anthem? You know, a song that everyone should know and that represents the section? We were curious about your propositions, we hesitated between "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "I Want to Break Free", both by god itself Queen.

What about your propositions? We would love to know if the concept does interest you and if yes, do you agree with our choices or do you have other ideas?
