Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch!

Dear Charlie,
I don't know if you've been following the Internet buzz in Britain recently, but the election of a new leader for the Labour party isn't the most important event for everyone! Congratulations to this BBC weatherman who has gone viral by pronouncing correctly the second longest place name in the world without breaking sweat!
Naomi Watts, the Australian actress, was born in Britain, and lived in this Welsh town during her childhood. Compare her pronunciation with Liam Dutton's and practise at home! You may need to warm up like her!
All the best!
Mr Leah

  1. Holy Macaroni!! (As my Italian American grandma would say)
We ought to try this challenge at the Drama Club. Are we up to it?
And it gives perpective to our Terminale students before they start complaining about the Irish words in Translations

  2. I had already seen this.
Such a pronunciation might be a little more difficult for a non-native speaker, wouldn't it ?
