Belfast

Dear Charlie,

During my trip to Belfast, I was hosted in the house of a teacher of Hazelwood with Paul. We had a great time in Nothern Ireland.
During the week-end we visited a little village near Belfast and then went to a monument of commemoration of the World War from where we had a wonderful view on Belfast and the sea.We also went to the cinema and saw Captain America.

On Monday we went to the Giant Causeway. It is a most beautiful place by the sea which is associated to a legend which says that two giants wanted to see (or fight, depending on the version) each other and built a path made of rocks in the sea.

On Tuesday morning we visited Belfast's City Hall and we saw the City Mayor who offered us some tea and souvenirs of Belfast. In the afternoon we went to Stormont, the Nothern Irish parliament, we saw the voting of a law and then attended a meeting about the history of politic in Nothern Ireland and the situation today.
On Wednesday, we had an economy class with some Hazelwood students. It was very different from what we are used to in France. Indeed, there was no lesson we only had some practical work, we had to act as if we were running a coffee shop.
On Thursday morning, we had cooking class and made some leek and potato soup and then had a second breakfast with our soup, some Irish bread and bacon. In the afternoon, we visited a crisp factory called Tayto, we saw how the potato becomes a crisp and we had some crisp packs for free.

Finally, on Friday it was unfortunatly time to leave Nothern Ireland and go back home.
