Cooking Mama

 Hello, 

    Today I'll present you another one of my childhood games (don't ask how many childhood games I have...), Cooking Mama!! It's a 2006 cooking simulator where you do recipes step by step! It was originally on Nintendo DS and the Wii but was later introduced on mobile (I would still recommend playing it on a DS). 

    All the steps are graded and sometimes timed. When you do well she will hit you with her iconic line "Wow! Even better than Mama!". I've seen multiple videos of people trying to do the actual in-game recipes while follow the steps by steps and for most of them it actually work!! (So if you're a beginner cook and like playing games maybe try the game to improve your cooking and show me the results for fun!! ) 

    The gameplay is really easy, very beginner friendly as (for the DS version) you mostly use the stylus and rarely press buttons. As it is a DS game don't expect very high graphics but it still has that charm of 2000s pixelated games. Here's photos from the DS gameplay :

Here is what the final recipes looks like !! You can have a diversity of food from different countries (I think it depends on which game you play but some have a selection of worldwide recipes) (I didn't show all the recipes or else the article would only be the recipe photos because there's a lot of them. Like 100....)

Overall it's a fun and and relaxing game (except the two images above) with simple music and gameplay that I recommend if you want a chill game!
