TwoSet Violin

 Hello everyone !

I've played the piano for 7 years now, and I really like classical music and I wanted to share a YouTube channel called TwoSet Violin to other musicians (actually to everyone, we don't discriminate here :))!

Here is the link to their channel: https://www.youtube.com/@twosetviolin

This channel has been created by two young Australian violinists, Brett and Eddy who are passionate about classical music. You could think that they are two music nerds, and actually they are... but they put in their videos a lot of humor too! They play games (always with their violin), for example they try to play jingles or famous songs just using their memory. It is really funny although I would understand if someone who doesn't know at least a bit of classical music and instruments finds it boring... But you can always try !

One of my favorite video of this channel is a "try not to laugh challenge" special viola jokes (there is this running gag where they make fun of violas because they are "impostor violins").

Here the link for the video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOGDF9FjCKU

They are really funny and always have new interesting video ideas! Another type of video that I found really funny is their "violin charades" videos. They also made a sort of remake of a Blackpink song with a lot of classical music references (I had to watch it few times to understand all the references).

One of the charades series : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeZhDCMGL4s

"Duh duh duh dum" : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MomYN46jnVs

Apart from their comic content they also have "real" music projects, for example they are at the moment on a world tour and the amazing thing is that concerts are sold out really quickly! It's great to see this community of musicians being created, with inside jokes etc.

I think that I have told everything I wanted to talk about, so I really recommend this channel if you play an instrument (also if you don't but again, it could be boring if you don't understand).

Bye :)

  2. Heyy I knew you played the piano but I had no idea that you have been for so long! It is true that classical music is not the music I would usually listen to, but, I'm open to everything so I think I'll have a look at their channel. Maybe I'll like it or maybe I won't but I think it's worth trying!

  5. I have been watching their videos for some time and I really love them too! Although I agree with you that I don't understand all the jokes and references, even though I play the piano as well. It's great that you thought of sharing their channel :)
