Why music is so important to me

Hi Charlie,

I hope you are ok, not overwhelmed by this huge amount of blogs. Anyway, I will go to the point. Tomorrow I will be sixteen and music has played a huge role in my -short- life.

I think it's very likely that when my mom was pregnant ( of me) she listened to music or maybe went to a concert. In my family, music is everywhere. One of our common leisure with my dad was and is, still today, to play FIFA. Meanwhile we listen to music. I remember very well of being a 8 year-old boy listening to " back to black" of Amy Winehouse in a place full of laughter and jokes. Maybe my dad unconsciously revealed me some of his feelings- this man of few words separated from my mom when I was five Well, it seems quite ironic, knowing Amy's songs and end. With my mom, I discovered Bowie- was amazed by Ziggy Stardust and " life on Mars- the Rolling Stones, the Sex Pistols, the Velvet Underground. With my grandmother I discovered English with " yellow submarine", whereas my grandfather taught me the basics of classic music, that is to say: " the Moldau". Now, let's do a pause in this storytelling because it's a very boring accumulation. After listening to all this songs previously mentioned, I had become completely mad of music. I began to listen to Cd'', radio, Spotify, Cstar,MTV, YouTube, MP3( an another accumulation). My main men and women at that time( to quote Mr Leah) were Katy Perry, Coldplay, Years and Years. I spent endless summer afternoons at my grandparents' watching YouTube clips. I remember having a 24 hours Spotify playlist.I began to spend also nights listening to my MP3. I apologize for the inconvenience of the reading- "I think so I write" Descartes, I mean I write what I just came to think.

One thing stays unchanged for about ten years- a slight exageration. I listen to music because it has saved me too many times from bad thoughts and hard times. In year 7( 6eme) 21 pilots rescued me . This is why one my goals in life is to go to one of their concerts in the US, if possible. I do believe in my dreams and my motto is : " why not?".

But music is also part of my best moments in life, such as celebrations and blindtests.

So, my healthy advice would be : listen to music, listen to music and listen to music. Seriously, it has been scientifically proved that listening to your favourite music has a very positive impact- an OIB word- on your healthcare,
.

" La vie est belle" Orelsan,
Nathan

Music is a way to create great relationships and encounters. I can also relate to the whole FIFA thing and I'm looking forward to crush you at it.

  6. Your article was really good! I also love music, and it is also very important to my family (mostly to my parents). You seem to have a very vast musical culture, and even though I don’t feel this way, I always try to discover new (and sometimes older) artists. The fact that you said music is what really helped you during hard times touched me because I tend to feel the same way. This is why your article was pretty good and why I totally agree with your healthy advice!
