Recently i’ve read a book and I liked it a lot. This story takes place in ancient Greece, in the palace of Helios, god of the sun. The main character is her daughter Circe.
I loved this book as it is a combination between mythology and romance. More than a romance, it is the evolution of a woman through a patriarchal society and her empowerment. Through her story, we become attached to her. The way this book is written is very personal as we really enter the character’s mind and her feelings. This book is also very vivid, there is always some action and the way the landscapes are described are just beautiful.
Written by the same author, Madeline Miller, the song of Achilles is also a really good book and I recommend it as well.
