CIAO Charlie,
Come stai? (How are you?)
Today I am going to talk about Italy! Films, songs, dishes, places to go… Being half Italian I hope you will follow my suggestions.
First of all, here are a list of films and series to be well up on the life of Italians.
Secondly, here are a few songs by Italian singers (some may be a bit old-fashioned as I am used to listen to them with my grandparents or my parents…):
Sparring Partner - Paolo Conte
Alice - Francesco de Gregori
La Bambola - Patty Pravo
Bang bang - Dalida
Sapore di sale - Gino Paoli
Here… please note these are songs of my childhood :)
Moreover, here are a few dishes that are absolutely necessary to know to become a true Italian. I am not going to insert pizza and pasta: I am well aware you’ve heard of them. However, it is not a myth. Italians really do eat them all the time.
Le melanzane alla Parmigiana
Basically, it is eggplant/aubergines with parmesan.
Arancini
These are balls with rice and cheese in it. Meat and peas, tomato and mozzarella, mushrooms… you can find many different flavours.
La crema di caffe’
This is a coffee cream, like melted ice-cream. Delicious.
Risotto
This is personally my speciality.
Finally, here are must see places in Italy. My favourite places are Rome and Sicily because these are where I am from originally.
ROME
Sicily
Milan
Tuscany
Sardinia

Here, I hope this has made you hungry and thirsty for more Italy! See you soon, a presto!
Looks very attractive :)
ReplyDeleteI really recommend a city located on Sicily's east coast : Taormina. 🛵
ReplyDeleteYou'll find lots of ancient ruins and archeological things but also a lot of natural wonders such as splendid beaches and of course spellbound landscapes (the city is located on a 200 meters cliff)
I went to Italy once, with my class, and I really liked it. This made me want to go back there even more.
ReplyDeleteI went to Italy twice and this country really deserved an article ! Now i want to go back...
ReplyDeleteI loveeeee Italy, I went there twice and it was absolutely amazing! I was in Florence the first time and then in Sorrento. Shool trips you know.. So we were always singing italian songs as “Sarà perché ti amo” (old too..). But it was fun!
ReplyDeleteI have been in Italy last years, there is beautiful landscape!
ReplyDeleteHi, as an Italian I really liked your article lol ! An other old Italian song (and a bit cliche) is "Volare", Dean Martin made his own version too. And I 100% agree with you on the food (the arancini are sooooo good)
