Good news(papers)
Hi again Charlie !
I hope you’re good !
I come back
again this time to talk to you about two newspapers I love, which are : Le Un and Courrier international.
I’ll begin
with Le un !
It is a very
nice newspaper that is actually only made of one big A1 page and that is folded
; and, on every page you unfold, new information arrive. It is published every
Wednesday and it concerns one special subject. For example, it was one about
Notre-Dame-de-Paris’ fire, or again another one last week about the European
elections. The format is very nice because on every unfolded page, you have
different information, but different in the way like not the same type. So on
the first page you have the title of the paper and the subject it is about, and
on the last page, so basically when you just turn the paper, you actually have an
artistic vision of the subject, so a poem, a quote… that is analysed. Then,
when you open it, you have interesting discussions with nowadays’ journalists,
etc. and finally, when you open it again, you have many different points of
view from lots of people who can be artists, politicians, etc. It’s extremely
interesting and what is nice is that it conveys you both general knowledge and
different points of view on a single subject from different people, so it’s a
way to understand better the society because of the many opinions that are
conveyed to you. Finally, it’s very concise so you can have all this knowledge
only in a few minutes spent reading ! I really do recommend it to you !
You can
learn more stuff about it on their website : le1hebdo.fr.
And now, Courrier international !
It’s very
different from Le Un. Indeed, it’s
not as concise : you have more information, and different subjects are studied
in a single paper. It’s also very nice and recommended for people who are going
to take important exams, where a good knowledge of news and all is required. Basically,
it’s longer to read but also contains more information. I also like it but I
mean I can’t explain you that many things because it’s more like a common
newspaper except that’s it’s very analytical, you have only thought and clever
articles, ones that are being prepared and that really do speak of a subject as
a whole, including many pieces of information.
What’s nice
is that you can find both of them at the school library !
They are there every
week and you can read them ! Do it, and tell me what you thought of them !
Well,
Charlie, I think I’ll see you soon again, during the summer !
See you !
Toàn
