Finding the Right “Hook” for Your Personal Statement

I realised I already did a post about personal statement, so I'm going to mix them and to make a bigger post! 🤓



So I was looking on the net "how to do a personal statement" and I've found this amazing video that explains everything!!

As you know it is the beginning of our first semester, which means, for us, the Year 13 (Terminale), it is the beginning of the long journey to reach the perfect personal statement. 📝🙄

It is something like we have never had to do before, therefore it is quite normal that we all suffer while trying to find something in our lives that would make a university want us. 😲

If you do not know, I must tell you: the easy part is the 4-5 paragraphs we have to write on ourselves, and on the courses we want and on why those courses, why this job... 😱



Now, (to me) the most difficult part is to write THE HOOK  😮

P.s: Please do not mistake with this hook: 😆

A hook is a thing designed to catch people's attention. In the personal statement case, it is the first paragraph that is meant to catch the reader's attention (reader who will later judge by your personal statement if he wants you in his university...). 😶😳
