Dear Charlie,
I know, you're always looking for exciting things to do on a Saturday.
As you're a big fan of literature and cinema, next Saturday (September 19 ) at the Alcazar, there are two conferences which, I believe, you will find of real interest.
If you're feeling more philosophy/cinema inclined, @ 2:00 P.M, you'll get to (re)watch INTO THE WILD ( by SEAN PENN) followed-up by a conference , entitled " LE BONHEUR À L'ÉTAT SAUVAGE" which is part of the cycle "Philosopher au quotidien".

IYou are of course aware that this great film is based on the real life story of Christopher McCandless , fictionalized by Jon Krakauer. I'm not sure, you'll find the time to (re)read the novel

DeleteI haven't see the entire film, but I've read the book and I really liked it. Christopher McCandless is travelling around America, but he's doing an interior journey too. We never know what his feelings are, and that lets us more place to imagine. He is a verry interesting character.
