Serpico

Dear Charlie,
While we're talking about cinema, here's a film that's on on Thursday at 8 o'clock! I've already mentioned this to some of you, but try not to miss the opportunity to see one of the finest cop movies of the 1970s (one of the greatest decades in Hollywood history), and one of the finest beards in Hollywood history. It's a great New York film, starring the wonderful Al Pacino, directed by Sidney Lumet of "12 Angry Men" fame (plus other great films like "Running On Empty" with River Phoenix). Pacino, in the title role, goes undercover and tries to expose corruption in the New York Police Department (NYPD). It doesn't make him very popular!

Support this cinema, the Videodrome on cours Julien, or borrow DVDs from them. Small outlets like this need our support, and they programme really interesting films!
