Summer kit

Here are things to do around and in Marseilles

Whitin Marseilles, I think that having a drink on “La Plaine” or the “Cours Julien” is so pleasant when it’s sunny or almost the night :) You can also walk around the Panier, go to an exposition in the “Vieille Charité” and have a photoshoot as you are surrounded with many beautiful graffitis. Moreover, going to “La Bonne mère” at sunset with a pizza and anyone you want is so cool and memorable ! Lastly, not too far from the centre you have several beaches where you can go and play volleyball, it’s always nice to have parties there knowing that you can have fun in the sea when it’s too hot. A little further from the centre you have the calanques. The one that you must do are:

Calanque de Sugiton

Calanque de Sormiou

Calanque Marseilleveyre

Les goudes

If you have a car, you can also go to a famous and marvellous lake, the “Verdon”. There you can do kayak, swim in the transparent water and if you want to stay for more than one day, there are plenty of campsites around it and you might be surprised because some of them are not so expensive. Talking about camping, there is also a mountain that you can access by public transport where you can walk and do camping, just inform yourself and don’t stay there to do anything.

Don’t be afraid to also take the train to go for example to Cassis, on the “Côte Bleue” or to La Ciotat

In Cassis

En Vau

Port Miou

Côte bleue

Méjean

Niolon

If you are someone that likes to walk, the access of all these calanques are always accompanied with walks of around thirty minutes. If you really want to walk, I recommend the “Sentier des douaniers”, between Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer and Bandol. You can also start from Bandol as it goes further than this city, if you don’t want to go too far.

Well in summer you also need to take time for you, thus good series, movies and books recommendations are always welcomed.
