Hi Charlie! As you can see, this is my first article on the blog. I'm so excited to share this with you!
Today,
I'm going to talk about a travel I did last year with my school to Liverpool! It was an amazing experience personally, I couldn't imagine
it more incredible.
It was in november, we took the train from Marseille to Lille, then to London, and finally we took the bus to Liverpool, more precisely South Port, a small town not far from Liverpool, where we slept. So every morning, we took the bus to go to Liverpool or Manchester some times.
Mostly of us were in pairs in host families. We stayed there 5 days and had busy days. The travel was related to two main things:
- The Beatles.
- The first train line between Liverpool and Manchester.
Before we go to England, the travellers were divided in two parts; those who studied the Beatles, and those who studied the train line. Personally I can't talk about the train line very well because I didn't study that, therefore I won't... But since I studied the Beatles, I'm going to talk about them.
During a whole year, there was the singing club where we learned many songs about the Beatles. We also made a fundraising where we sold things that we created to lower the price of the trip and a fair where we sang songs of the Beatles and where we made a presentation of the train line.
In november 2018, when we were already at Liverpool, we made a visit about the Beatles. We saw Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane (the barber), the John Lennon's house, the Paul McCartney's house, the Cavern Club where the Beatles did their first concerts, and we also visited the museum of the Beatles. It was amazing, and for myself, I felt very close to them when I saw their house and the place where they have grown up. And also, many songs of the Beatles talk about these places so I liked to see them.

We also visited the Albert Dock and the Liverpool Cathedral

We visited many museums like the Slavery Museum of Liverpool or like the Museum of Science and Industry of Manchester.
I can't tell all the details of this experience because it would never end if I do that, but I hope you will do a travel with your school one day and I also hope that you will enjoy it like me.
Fortunately, my host family was great and it had a big role in my appreciation of the experience. In addition, the teachers let us have free time when we could go shopping.
I was so sad when we left this country, and some days I can't remember all the details of this travel and it makes me so regretful of this moment...
If you have the chance to go abroad to experience this, enjoy as much as you can!
