Hi Charlie, nice to see you again!
Summer holidays are over. Let’s just take moment to get over it.
New school year, new oib students, welcome to charlie’s oib, I am looking forward to read your articles! (that you will post whether you want it or not, trust me). So, let’s get to the point, while I was on holidays, forgetting that school existed in France, not even knowing what homework consisted of, I spent 2 months in Australia, and it was one of those life experiences that you don’t forget.
Well, to be honest, I did go to school there but it was so much better than in France that I didn’t mind at all. I mean I started at nine every day and finished and 3:30pm, it’s just nothing ! And well for the homework either you don’t have any or you can just take one month to submit it, you can relax. What was funny is when I explained to some Australians how school’s like here, and plus the oib it sounds like hell for them, but it is not that bad actually. One less funny thing was wearing the uniform, I can guaranty you that wearing a long checkered skirt up to the ankle was not the best thing ever.
Did you know that Australians could learn french at school ?! That was my favorite class, and everyone liked the french accent so much it was scary: sometimes, they would just burst out of nowhere asking me to talk in french just to hear it, even though they didn’t get a thing that I was saying.
I almost forgot to say the essential, I stayed in a small town called Albury between Canberra and Melbourne and I went to both of these cities which were amazing. My family was soo welcoming and caring and same for all the people I’ve met there and it’s such a reassuring thing when you’re a stranger to progress in that kind of atmosphere and mentality.
Overall, I can not wait until I come back there to see my Australian friends that I miss a lot, and I had a blast!
Here are some of my best photos of my trip, enjoyyyy
I feel bad about that, but everytime I hear Australia, I think of mother nature trying to kill you in every possible way...
