American postcard

Hi Charlie!
It's been a while haha
I got back from the US a week ago and then I had to paint my bedroom soooo I've been quite busy!
I spent a whole month over there and it was PRETTY AWESOME
I was in a city called Spokane, it was 4hours away from Seattle. Spokane is a very modern city but surrounded by forest and mountains. I had the chance to do a lot of sport there, and I was pretty much always around trees and the smell was amazing. I was in a family of 6, the parents, twin boys aged 12, and two girls, 10 and 8. I was surrounded by kids but I had a lot of fun with them, we did kid stuff like Nerf Battles and I killed them all xD

The kids :)

We also went to a theme park and I did some very cool rollercoasters (lilke the blue and green one) :

I also spent 4 days in Seattle, which was super awesome! I arrived at night so I got to see the buildings all lightened up, and the next days I did what a tourist does: visit. I went to the aquarium and saw a Giant Octopus and Nemos, then walked around in the city and went to the Pike Place Market, but it was too crowded so we didn't stay long in there, just enough time to eat thai (food is very important Charlie.) We also went to the EMP museum which was both very interesting and cool; I learned a bunch of things in the horror exposition, and the Sci-Fi one, (they had the original costumes and objects from a lot of famous movies, e.g. the Terminator costume, or the Ghostbusters equipment :P).
I then went to a Taylor Swift concert (AWESOME) and Shawn Mendes and Vance Joy were doing the first part so, best night of my life! Everyone at the concert had a lighting bracelet, that's the little lights that you'll see on the pictures below ;)
Also, the interesting part of the concert was at the end when we got FREE SANDWICHES OMG, by Jimmy John's and they were sooooo good I took 6 hahahaha (for my defense they were only 1 inch long.) Oh and there were fireworks, cool thing too.
Next day I went to see the famous Space Needle (I swear it looks bigger than in my picture), and went to the garden of Glass, which was, I'm going to use the only word that comes to my mind: awesome. People created a lot of crazy objects just by blowing glass and that was amazing to see the result. I also went to the Wall of Gum, which, as the name says, is a wall with a lot (A LOT) of gums, and I put mine there! The funny thing was that people put business cards on the walls x)

I think that's the longest post I've ever written on the blog and I don't blame you if you didn't read everything haha
PS: I think I used the word 'awesome' at least 5 times. But that's the word which sums up my summer the best :)
PPS: little joke someone told me while I was there:
Did you know diarrhea is hereditary? It runs downs in your jeans!

Alicia.

  2. I did, I was a bit scared knowing that I would do a loop (it was my first time!) but I was determined to finally do one, and I ended up doing the ride 7 times in a row because the queue was empty! It was so great!!

  3. Not only you had the chance to go to the US and especially to Seattle but you also had the chance to go to a Taylor Swift concert! You're lucky! Looks like you enoyed the concert and your trip!
(I'm not specially a fan of Taylor Swift but we all have to admit that we got addicted to at least one of her songs haha)
