Just a historical point for people who don't know Eminem, 

Marshall Bruce Mathers II, also known as Eminem is one of the most famous rapper of all time and one of the best musician of all time. He has sold with 11 sudio albums over 220 million albums in his career (since 1996). His success is regarded as having broken racial barriers for the acceptance of white rappers in popular music. He also made a film (8miles) who had an oscar, and for the film soundtrack he made one of the best rap songs of rap of all time: Lose Yourself

On the 17th of January, Eminem released his 11th studio album. It was released with no prior announcement, in a similar fashion to his previous studio album Kamikaze. It features guest appearances from Skylar Grey, Young M.A, Royce da 5'9", White Gold, Ed sheeran,or even Juice Wrld.

Music to be murdered by includes 20 titles, and is largely inspired by Alfred Hitchcock.

The album is a success on the critical aspect, and 2 million albums were sold. It's not much compared to some of his albums, like the eminem show or the marshall mathers LP, but it's more than the two last albums and today less and less people buy albums with the rise of streaming. He had a few hits, like godzilla, leaving heaven, or even those kinda nights. I personnally loved this album with really great songs, pleasent to listen and Eminem raps with an incredible flow. I think this album is really underrated.

I personally really loved this album and is for me one one his best albums. My favourites songs of it are Godzilla, Leaving Hell, and Darkness, but all of them are great, except maybe yah yah, which I didn't like very much.

Unaccommodating ft Young M.A

A really good song with an intersting and good first verse by Young M.A, who wasn't expecting to be so early in the album, but Eminem said he liked his music and this verse so wanted to give him importance .

 

You Gon’ Learn ft Royce da 5'9", White Gold

I quite liked this song with a catchy beat, along with his friends Royce da 5'9" and white gold.

 

 

Alfred (Interlude)

Interlude with the voice of Alfred Hitchcock. For those who don't know, Eminem does in his albums lots of "skits", which are short soundtracks with people often talking or him.

Those Kinda Nights ft Ed Sheeran

A good song for the third featuring between Eminem and Ed Sheeran. You might not like the way Eminem raps, and I had to listen to it a few times to really appreciate it.

 

In Too Deep

A song pleasent to listen to, quite calm and with a great chorus, and beautiful harmonies.

 

Godzilla ft Juice Wrld

Probably one of the best songs of the album, really entertaining, and energic. In featuring with Juice Wrld, Eminem makes a tribute to him at the end of the song. It has more than 750million vues on youtube. In this song, he beats his own world fastest rap verse record, with 10,65 syllabs per second.

 

Darkness

This is also one of the best song of the album, pleasent to listen to, calm, and quite sad, I makes me almost cry. It talks about the shooting in las vegas in 2017. The first two verses alternate between showing Eminem in a dark room wearing a hoodie and an unidentified person in a hotel room wearing the same hoodie, surrounded by alcohol and ammunition. At the beginning of the third verse, the person takes off the hood and reveals himself to be the Las Vegas Shooter, before opening fire on the concert-goers from the hotel window.

The video ends with the message: "When will it end? When enough people care. Register to vote at vote.gov. Make your voice heard and help change the gun laws in America."

Leaving HeavenSkylar Grey

This is also a lovely song with a beautiful chorus by skylar grey, and great verses by Eminem, with lots of flow. I highly recommend it.
