Probably born in the wrong generation :/

 Hello Charlie , it's been a long time since I've talked to you buddy and hey you reading this article , thanks for joining us :) 

It's that time of the year again where I feel nostalgic and sad because It seems like I was born in the wrong generation . I feel that way because I'm talking about my MAIN MAN Stephen Sondheim !!!!!!! *CROWD GOES CRAZY* I'm actually exaggerating the reaction because he's an actual genius who has been overlooked for CENTURIES , the man is 90 give him some RECOGNITION for god's sake ! 

( Ooff Breathing , I'm sorry guys )

Here's the beautiful man ⬇️ 

I define him as the man who felt too much , the American musical's supreme artist ! 

He is the writer of classic musical songs and writes music for amazing plays , some examples to blow your mind : 

WEST SIDE STORY YALLL  

It's one of the most revered musicals of all time and Sondheim created the music for it !! Like the iconic " Something's coming" and just to make you realise something , without this man musicals wouldn't be the same !!!! 

Another example for your pleasure would be one Of Tim Burton's most famous movies : 

SWEENEY TODD 

A specific scene would be when Mrs.Lovett ( played by Helena Bonham carter) is in the bakery ( soon to be murder house ) with Sweeney Todd ( Johnny Depp) and they start singing about a future business opportunity that would involve killing people of the area and turning them to pastries and create London's worst pies miam :)  that specific song is "A little priest" it's beautifully sung by Patti lupone at Sondheim's 80th birthday ❤️ here's a link : https://youtu.be/5aQ_uEEMPqE

Priest is a pun meaning that it's a pastry made of a priest hahaha and the song is absorbed full of these disgusting but hilarious puns ! 

I hope I've been to share with you my love of Sondheim , the movies I love would be nothing without his music . He's a genius and I'm absolutely glad the world is finally embracing his genius . Thanks for reading my article and I wish you a Sondheim roller coaster of emotions !!
