- SCREAM by Wes Craven and wrote by Kevin Williamson, 1996

scenario: *
This american movie will ever make me laugh or jump ever if it's the
15th time I watch it. This is actually a very famous parody of
the horror film of the 90s and if you
didn't already watch it do it as soon as possible! I promise you will
understand many of the references in other movies. It
received the MTV Movie Award for the best film.
*Casey
Becker is a teenager alone in her house. She answers to a phone call
and a serial killer on the line offers her to play a terrible
game: if she answers wrong to his horror movies questions he will kills
her boyfriend in front of her. Sadly, Casey and her boyfriend were
both killed by this serial killer. Sidney
Prescott, an other teenage girl knows that
she might be the next victim of this dangerous serial killer. She
doesn't allow herself to trust anybody.
_The serial killer of the film is inspired by a real killer in Florida, Danny Rolling nicknamed
"The Gainesville Ripper". He was convicted of 8 teenage girl murders and was executed by
lethal injection in 2006.
- ALIEN by Ridley Scott, 1979.

Alien is by far my favorite alien movie ever. other films have tried to create this universe, even Ridley
Scott himself with the other films of the saga, but this film will always be, in my opinion, the best Alien ever.
This American/ British (really scary) movie is a science fiction movie. It received 3 prices and 7 nominations:
among others an academy film awards for the best actor (John Hurt), an Oscar for the best decorations and a
Golden Globe for the best music.

A
Spacial
ship and its crew (7 men and women) is forced to stop on an unknown
planet. The officer Kane
is attacked by an unknown form of life in the face. The
doctor of the ship take off the specimen and the crew have lunch in
a good mood
all together. Until
Kane,
convulsive, sees his abdomen perforated by a living foreign body,
which escapes into the corridors of the ship ...
Ripley,
an other officer, is trying to survive and to save her comrades and
her cat from the creature.
DID YOU KNOW? _The
front part of the body of the Alien was made from a molding performed
on a real human skull.
_
The carcass on which Dr. Ash performs an autopsy is composed of
seafood, in order to recreate visually the internal organs of the
spider.
_
Originally, in the first draft of the Alien scenario, Lieutenant
Ripley was a male character. It is only later that it is decided that
he will be incarnated by a woman.

This
movie is a must in horror movie, even in movie in general. The scenes
are all full of details and deeply thought. It
received the Saturn Award for the best actor for a supporting actor
played by Scatman Crothers. The
actors Jack Nickolson and Shelley Duvall were really involved in
their character even if the
shooting exhausted the young lady. Shelley Duvall talked only with Daniel Lloyd,
the actor of her son in the movie. The scene where she had to fight
with Jack with a bat was redone about 127 times.
*
A
writer, Jack
torrance decides
to go
with his family in a hostel to maintain it during the winter when it
is closed during many long months. Danny, his son, who own a medium
gift, the Shining, is scared about this place where some horrible
event happened. And this haunted hostel drives slowly Jack crazy.
DID
YOU KNOW?_Before
turning to Jack Nicholson, Stanley Kubrick considered entrusting the
role of Jack Torrance to Robert De Niro, Robin Williams or Harrison
Ford.
_The scene at the end of the movie
where Wendy (Shelley Duvall) climbs the stairs scared, knife in hand,
was shot 35 times. It comes down to climbing all the stairs of the
Empire State Building.
_The snow labyrinth at the end of
the film was obtained thanks to nearly 900 tons of salt and
polystyrene!

GET OUT by
Jordan Peele, 2017
screamer:***
scenario:***
This movie is an
extreme but scary representation of the racism in USA. You don't
expect the ending until late and the story is really well
elaborated and sought after. The fact that
it happened nowadays accentuates the feeling of fear and the side of
the denunciation of racism. This movie received 24 prices and
nominations including an Oscar for the best original scenario.
* A young couple, Chris and Rose, visits for the
first time the girl's family in her family house. At first, Chris
notice that his step family is strange about the fact he is colored
and she is white. However, he discovers that the truth is far more
disturbing.
(I unfortunately can't tell you more without spoil you the ending but go watch it, I assure you it worth it.) DID YOU KNOW? _You could guess the rest of the story from the beginning. Indeed, the director purposely
set the scene where Chris spilled the deer at first to emphasize the insensitivity of rose and the reversal of Chris.
Jordan Peele even lend his voice to make the cry of the deer. _ Get Out was shot in the city of Mobile, Alabama where the weather alternated between sun and rain. One of
the most difficult part of the filming was to make the scenes so that the weather is well tuned with the story - THE VISIT by M. Night Shyamalan, 2015
screamer:***
scenario:**
If
you are already scared about the people you don't know, the family
dinners and the old person, don't watch this movie unless you don't
want to sleep. This movie is not really famous but I really
appreciated it. The screamers are well hidden and the story become
more and more scary as the film progresses…
*
Lorette had a violent fight with
her parents 15 years ago and completely broke off all ties. Thanks to
internet, her parents discovered she had 2 children, one daughter and
one son. They asked her to at least meet them and
to welcome them for a week in their house in the countryside. She
accepted. Once settled, children begin to
worry about their grandparents' behavior.
_
Before
being titled "The Visit", the film was called "Sundowning".
This word
refers to the
syndrome of crepuscular states, which corresponds to a psychological
phenomenon that goes hand in hand with extreme confusion and
agitation in demented patients. The symptoms usually include awesome
mood swings that occur at the sun's down.
My
article in now coming to an end, I
hope
you enjoyed it and that you will enjoy your Halloween with
our without these masterpieces. Happy Halloween everyone!

ReplyDeleteI don’t usually see horror movies, cause the trailer is enough to scary me for a loooooooooong time, but I know these ones are the best and the most-rewarded.
The actors play very well, especially in Shining, at the origin a book written by the best horror author ever : Stephen King.
Did you know, that in Alien the actors weren’t warned that a beast is gonna get out of their body, so what we see in the movie are their real reactions ! Not surpring that they yell like they are really going to die.
A movie that I am really scared of is « The Conjuring ». I don’t like and I will NEVER appreciate dolls. The trailer in its own gave me nightamre for 5 years and even a sleep paralysis!
The only horror movie that I have seen is « The Purge » (which I considered most a psychological film than a horror one)
I love Halloween, and I think, that for the occasion, I should see Shining or Scream. Hope I will not be paralysed of fear !
Noo I didn't know about this funfact thank you so much for sharing this with us, this would've been horrible for the actors but the idea is really interesting: we have a real reaction on screen thats incredible!
DeleteI'm utterly spooked by horror movies and this article.
