Hip-Hop exhibiton

Hi Charlie,

I am very happy to write my first article !

To begin, I decided to write about an hip-hop event (everybody knows already that I am completly fan of this kind of music :p ).
Anyway, this week-end there will be an exhibition about hip-hop culture and I know it will be great. (Don't worry if you have no money, the exhibition is all free access !!).

Now let's look at  the program :
On saturday,
Activities in relation with the urban culture will be proposed since 10am at 6:30pm. It will have graffities, dance (my crew : Apo.G Crew, you should not forget this name, will participate so go there and you won't be disappointed), beatbox but also demonstrations about the engagement about hip-hop artists to practice their art.

Indeed, people rap, graff, danse and sometimes risk their life in for exemples arabic world where the liberty of expression is oppressed by the government or even in Europe (in 2014, an antifascit rapper was killed by partisans of Aube dorée, which is an extremist party in Athens).
Actually we live in Marseille, our city is the door of the Mediterranean sea so we must be careful about what is happening in the other sides of the sea.

There will be a show by DJ Rebel (I don't know him) and Tressym (the vice-champion of beatboxing in France in 2013).
Ears have to get some pleasure too ;) .

On sunday,

A film "BGirls" will be broadcasted at 2:30 pm.
This is a story about four girls who are dancing break dance and have to prove that they have their place in a really masculine environment.

A study about how the hip-hop culture, borned in United States came all around  the Mediterranean sea and how the population reappropriated the code of hip-hop culture.

And to finish the event, a show of a palestinian producer and rap singer "Osloob" and a flautist french and syrian "Naïsam Jalas".

I hope to see you this week-end at the mucem !

Be yourself,

Amma.

  1. I know that the cliché wants Metal Heads and Rap fans to be against each other... but I must say that rap culture is quite something nowadays, I would totally be there... If I had time to go to Marseille, sorry ^^'. (Some times I would love to live with you guys ;_;).
Also, I may do an episode of "I Will Rock You" about a band who does Metal songs, but with Rap singing.
