Nuit by Jazzy Bazz

Hello everyone ! Today I am going to talk to you about one of my favorites albums : « Nuit » by Jazzy Bazz.

Jazzy Bazz, or Ivano Bruno-Arbiser born on April 24th 1989, is a French rapper from the 19th arrondissement of Paris. He is part of the Grande Ville and L'Entourage collectives and is extremely recognized for his poetic pen and his technical phases.

Nuit”, his second album, was released on Septembre 7th 2018, just like a caress after his previous album “P-Town” an album where he decided to show how tough he can be.

In this album Jazzy Bazz recounts his poetic, tormented and romantic "Night" and we follow him during his journey in the middle of Paris' night. We discover it as we are immersed in this laconic and cozy atmosphere. The instrumentals composed by Monomite, Loubensky, The HopKezo et Fox are silky and enveloping, sometimes with singing voices in the background, sometimes feminine as in "Crépuscule", "Minuit" or even "Rue du Soleil". Vulnerable, Jazzy Bazz shows a new facet with Nuit. The introspective texts show a wiser man, still plagued by existential questions. We are even entitled to a softer, almost romantic facet of the rapper, as in "Laeticia" where he says:

J’me sens stupide de l’exprimer en musique
C’est difficile d’assumer cet amour à sens unique”

Finally admiting that he isn't as strong as he is, and accept his feelings without distancing himself from them.

This album is extremly interesting because, we juggle from one song to another between the "tough" facet of jazzy and its softer and more pleasant facet, showing the image of a man who is torn inside, perhaps even questioning his identity, a tough man with a soft heart, ready to reveal his flaws.

The raw ultra-Parisian is succeeded by a lovesick romantic :)

Lastly, I vividly recommend you to listen to this album! I'm sure you won't regret it, here is some links:
