Hello everyone!!
So you know how in the OIB you have like 3 months where we don't have any work to do but you also have those 2 weeks where you have all the work in the world?? So now we're in those two weeks.. and to celebrate this suffer i decided to show you some tips of how to focus while studding:
first things first.. it's the most important to me:
LEARN TO SAY NO!
NO: to facebook.
NO: to few youtube videos.
NO: to playing with your cute brothers and sisters. ( if you are the youngest skip this one ).
NO: for posting new instagram post.
Second important thing ( this one I love ):
Prepare a small snack before starting to study
Apparently we are not supposed to have any energy drinks or coffee because sooner or later we will crash out.. so healthy snacks? Yes apples and fruits and water and all those boring snacks because they say that it's effective at releasing carbohydrates ( I don't know what that means but it looks scientifically good for your health ).
Another lovely thing to do in order to love working: ( :P )
BREAK BREAK BREAK!!!
Why?? because you and your brain deserve it. No but serious talking: Your brain needs time to recharge after it processes a bunch of
information. In some studies, taking a break and walking around improved
memory recall and simple test scores in subjects.
BUT!!! your break shouldn't be more than 20 minutes AND ONLY after studding for 45 minutes, And time the 20 on alarm so you won't "accidentally" take more time than is needed.
And last but not least..... ( drums please ) :
Don't listen to music unless it helps
Classics? YAS.. Ariana Grande? please No.
If you're used to study with music good for you.. If you're not, please don't.. because your mind is already trying so hard to understand what you're reading.. so adding other thing for your brain to process wouldn't help.. And calm music is the worst ( in studding of course ) your lessons are already boring enough so you only would give your body an extra reason to fall asleep ( no i'm kidding about the boring lessons it's just your tired brain is sleepy because IT'S WORKING!!)
I hope these few tips will help you in the future.. As for me.. I have an English test to study for.
till next time
Judy. A
"If you're the youngest skip this one"... I could play videogames with 30 years old brothers, though...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips though, I'm often guilty of Facebook-posting when I should be working, as you might know
That's the post we needed! Thanks !
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I really like the third one 'Take a break' because it's completly true and it helps a lot your brain to be more concentrated after that ;) Anyway you've already said that and all your post was very useful !
ReplyDeleteFor my part, I can't work with music and I tried because some friends said it is really helpful but I can't cncentrate with music so it depends :)
Thanks !!
