I totally agree with the first picture! My little brother asked us when he had to go back to school like 2 or 3 weeks before the 1st of september; he was thrilled that he was going to be in preschool, in the classroom of the big ones from infant school! And then, my other brother didn't really want to go back to middle school. I wanted to get back to a normal schedule or school time, I don't know, I like school but I'd prefer to travel all over the world. Finally, my mom was relieved she had her free time back and to have the possibility to do (almost) whatever she wanted!
It's always funny to see how stereotypes about the first day back to school can be true! I was pretty stressed about it too, kind of torn between happiness and fear (to meet the terrifying Mrs Choffrut ahaha!!). My little sister was super happy to see her friends and my older sister who is in prepa was very stressed, the contrast was pretty funny! As Gaby said, I think that my parents were also torn between the nostalgy of hollidays and the big relief of the end of these two wonderful months!
I do agree with the first illustration. I was quite stressed about it too, with the change of school, faces, and even the size compared to my school which was so so small compared to Saint Charles ( around 350 students in total ). I am quite scared about the 3 years that are coming but also very excited. At the moment I am very happy with the class everyone seems nice and friendly let's hope that it will stay like that for the next 3 years!
Ahaha, how funny these pictures are! Even though they're kind of repetitive every year, I never get tired of those. Personnally, I was feeling kind of anxious when I felt summer ending firstly because it flew at incredible speed, and second because I wanted so bad so know how everything was going to be in St Charles and the OIB.. But hey, now that we're back, I kind of feel like the drawn college student ahaha, but I'm feeling really happy so far. But with a lot going on. It's for the best I suppose
