I wanted to write you about a disney movie. Its name is "The Princess and the frog" and takes place in Louisiana in the US, more precisely in New Orleans.
The story is basically the same as the original one except that this animation has jazz, food, and vaudoo!
I personally am in love with it!
The songs are very good and make you want to dance. Listen to this one!
It is about a girl named Tiana who dreams to have a restaurant with her dad. However, he dies before they can make it together. But she still wants to do it. On one night, at the carnaval's party her friend Charlotte organised, she meets the two men she is supposed to buy the restaurant to.
On the other side, you have The Prince Navin who doesn't have money because his parents want him to be able to get his life without their help. So he wants to marry a rich woman so then he would not have to work. However he and his butler meet a vaudoo master with who they make a bargain. Thanks to it, the butler becomes the prince, and the prince becomes a frog. He manages to escape from the two others and meet Tiana. Because of her disguisement he thinks she is a princess. He kisses her thinking that he would become human again.
HOWEVER, Tiana becomes a frog because she is not a princess. Now they need to find a way together to become human again and lead their projects.
I hope this articl made you want to watch it!!!!
See you!!

ReplyDeleteI love this movie ! I love the atmosphere they created around New Orleans : the music, the Bayou, the voodoo..

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW I am in total love with this. What a great movie. Much love. xoxo. Nathan
ReplyDeleteHeyy !
ReplyDeleteOoh « The princess and the frog », first Disney's film in which I could identify with the main character ** (which is so strong, determined, so cool actually ^^). As you point it out; songs in this film are really rhythmic and I also appreciated them. And how could I not have talked about the “vicious one” yet, I LOVE Dr. Facillier and pretty much all the scenes involving voodoo he appears in. Even though these are dark; they strangely still are really colourful (suiting Dr. F very well I guess ;) ). Thank you for this article which made me want to watch it again and go back to “childhood” !
