I am writing this post to talk to you about my vacation. During the first week of vacation I visited a couple cities on the south coast of France: Monaco, Nice, Antibes, Cannes, and Saint Tropez.
It was my first time visiting those cities so I was very excite. Most of the time we had a good weather but it was pretty cold.
We staid at my uncles vacation appartement at Antibes. It was nice, with a view on the ocean and on the snowy mountain tops of the Alpes as you can see on the picture below.
On the first day we went to go visit Monaco. It's a very small city but rich. We walked through the city. Most of the buildings are really nice and very clean. I sort of felt like in a movie set with all those expensive cars passing by. Here is the Port of Fontvieille with all the yachts.
On the picture below, the building that we can see on the other side is the oceanographic muséum of Monaco. We went to go visit it.
The aquarium was the best part. All the fishes were beautiful. Some glowed in the dark and I found that very cool.
On the second day we went to Cannes. The weather was cloudy and it rained so we did a little shopping and we went to go see the new movie with Omar Sy called "Chocolat". Personally, I really liked the movie. I think Omar Sy is a great actor and he plays his role very well. If you have the chance to go see it, I truely recommande it.
On the third day we went to Nice. Nice was the city I liked the most. I find it so beautiful with all those palmtrees and it's very clean too. The little streets with the shops are very cute.
On the forth day we went to Antibes. There wasn't much to do because it's a small city so we did a hike on the cap d'Antibes. Some of the villas were just so stunning.
On the fifth day we went to go visit Saint Tropez. It's a nice little town. There was barely anyone there. In the winter there isn't much to do. But it was nice visiting.
Overall I spent a great time with my family. We had fun visiting all those cities but it was a little tiring since we walked everyday.
I used to live in Nice for 7 years and I agree that this is a very lovely city. However, the population is quite old and the people really focused on money and material things! I recommend it more for holidays than for living, but it is true that this is a nice place!
