Hi charlie's !!
I was thinking about what could be an interesting article to write when I saw one of my favourite books waiting to be written about on my desk
So here we are, let me present you :
« Aristotle And Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe »
The title makes it look like a kids book but I swear it's really great😡
It's a story about two teenagers who met at their local swimming pool and became friends during summer. "Ari" is a bored and angry teenager who doesn't have much friends and Dante is a lively and sincere boy who just moved to this town.
Ari lives with his parents, has two older sisters that moved out and an older brother who's in prison. His brother being in prison has teared his family apart and he's not close to his parents anymore. Dante is an only-child, has a "perfect" relation with his and is doing great in school.
This whole story and the fact that they're so different but will become really important to each-other makes it really touching. Plus I love the writing stye of the author.
This books is also interesting because it evokes the importance of family and friends and it also talks about the lgbtq+ community, which I think should get more representation in books:/
I can't tell you more because I could spoil you if you wanted to read it but please let me know if you would like to (you could borrow it from me!) or if you've already read it!!

DeleteOne more book on my never-ending book-to-read list.... What is so specific about the author's writing style? I personally really like the cover and the title and I'm generally intrigued.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to explain it but I just think that he has a really beautiful and touching way of writing.
DeleteI had to underline a looot of sentences while reading the book because I loved them too much and wanted to be able to remember them :)
