THE HARSH REALITY

Yes. You know the truth. I know it too. I must confess, I truly loved violetta when I was younger.

We all have those shames coming right from our behaviour and preferences when we were kids. I have a ton of them, and I think it's time to do a recap, because it's important to accept yourself, even when you were about to buy a Violetta's concert ticket some years ago.

  • I had a youtube channel where I would post Fairy Tail FMVs. I also posted a video of myself singing with a doll. Let's take a quick look to reflect.

I want to cry to be honest.

  • I also had a skyblog where I would post Fairy Tail fanfictions (yes I was quite a fan). Unfortunately, I deleted the blog 2 years ago.

  • The walls of my sleeping room were green and blue. I still can't get over the fact that my parents allowed me to paint them that way. I also drew some manga's names on the walls in red. I was indeed a very colorful person.

  • I thought I was amazing at imitating the english language when I would sing a song but now that I think about it I was just as bad as the other kids.

  • Jenifer was my idol (along with Violetta of course). Not Jenifer Lopez, Jenifer like in The Voice France. "Sur le Fil" is still my number one song. Haters gonna hate.

At least I can be proud of how amazing it was to watch "The Wizards of Waverly Place", "Shake it Up", "Good Luck Charlie"... *sigh* Disney Channel is not what it used to be.

Would it be too much to ask your worst shames ?

  1. You made me laugh so hard, you have no idea ! (Actually you will know tomorrow when I see you, because I doubt I will be able to stop, ever.)
Just so you feel less lonely (poor boy), I must confess that I was a Jenifer fan myself (I will still fight anyone who doesn't think she's the best).
Unlike you, I'm not going to share my worst childhood shames (too shameful, I'm afraid) but thanks for the laugh, you really can be proud of this shameful past (is it a paradox to say that? Or an antithesis? I don't remember, but anyway, you get my point)
    Thanks again !
PS : I desperately want to read these Fairy Tail fanfictions

  2. Don’t worry, we all had dark moments in our lives... plus you’ve always reminded me of Flynn from Shake it up but I never had to courage to tell you so see you’re not the only one confessing tonight

  3. Ok so I'm not coming back on my promise to comment on your article. It's just that I wasn't expecting something so personal... And now you ask you ask for us to expose ourselves in the same way you just did? Some of us still have self respect you know?
So I am going to share but it's nothing big actually it's one of the reasons why I can't reveal anything extremely compromising (like you just did).
So I have the regret to say I have basically never seen any Disney or animated movie. I know it sucks Yasmine, Toni and Mathilde are already giving me a hard time for it. I'm trying to catch up, so do you have any recommendations? (Not that I have any trust left in your tastes)

  5. Wow Mathis what an inspirational article! Thanks to you, I feel better about my dark childhood now. It is very brave to share such shameful statements about yourself (okay I may be exaggerating a little). But thank you for the laugh (my ears are still bleeding though)

  7. Great article! I'm not sure I have anything to confess, beyond wanting to grow up to be Father Christmas when I was a young boy. I've already admitted to some of you that I learnt all the capitals of the world by heart when I was 7. And I agree that Mary Poppins is the best Disney film (by a mile!)
