This article is *I hope* here to help you doing your homework in proper conditions, without looking at the clock every two minutes, without thinking about your bed which seems sooo reassurant *HE'S NOT*, without the sudden need to check messenger, instagram, snapchat, youtube and all the other things that YOU KNOW WON'T HELP YOUR MOTIVATION !
So, if like me you need to listen to music to study *because otherwise it's too boring*, but you have to face reality and know that you spend more time singing than working : here is a good alternative :

This is the moment when you ask yourself "What the hell is she saying?". But actually, I tried this a few times and that is something I really adopted. It is strange how this type of music (I've never listened to classic before) helps you to consider time differently. Indeed, listening to a good Bach's composition helps your brain to be more focused on what you are doing and to stop counting the minutes you are spending on your essay or on your maths exercices. Moreover, because this way you are working quickly, you even have the time and the energy to do the 2 grammar exercices that your LV2's teacher gave you for tomorrow and that you are soooo tempted to ignore. Yes, this the miracle of classical music.
However, even if having a good music is essential to study, classical music doesn't prevent from the incapacity to sleep after 3 long hours of concentration. It is effectively hard to relax right after homeworks, even thought it is essential because you don't want to reduce your sleeping number of hours, knowing that they already are not enough. A solution could be to install the application on your phone called "head space". This is a meditation app which can help to relax and to bring "space" to your mind before going to bed in order to facilitate your appointment with Morpheus.
I hope this article brings you other solutions to study than planning your death or your sudden illness. I hope you'll all be able to try at least one of these.
Be yourself,
Amma
Heyy, I recommand you "Pavane for a dead Princess" by Maurice Ravel (it might already be part of the video though) I know it sounds just like fun but it really is great "The girl with the flaxen hair" by Debussy is very nice as well ^^. Listening to calm jazz also works btw and feels a bit like heaven.. AND HEADSPACE... YES hehe thk you for sharing
ReplyDeleteps:thanks for reminding me that studying while listening to french rap is the worst idea ever
thank you for sharing your advices ! I totally agree for jazz music. By the way, a good song that works for me to study is "mesago - navajo". It really brings me to a parallel world haha.
DeleteIf you don't want to install an app to meditate you can also search for "méditation guidée" (or "guided meditation") on YouTube. Try several videos out, you should be able to find a voice that works for you

DeleteUsually, when I have to work but silence stresses me out (Sometimes quiet is violent), it helps me to listen to cute/sad ukulele songs. My favorite ukulele artists are dodie, cavetown, abbey glover, peppermint ollie, emmanoodle/emma marie and chloe moriondo.
