Gueorgui pinkhassov
I thought it would be cool to share with you one of my passion : PHOTOGRAPHY so I have chosen
to present you a not really well-known photographer but that I think is worth knowing (to me his pictures are absolutely great even if some of you won't probably love them but anyway)
I just wrote a little
biography for you to know a bit about him and then the PICTURES!
So, Gueorgui Pinkhassov is a
russian artist born in 1952 in Moscow but he now also has the French
nationality. Pinkhassov really began being interested in photgraphy
while studying at the Moscow Institute of Cinematography, he then got
the status of Independant artist.
When he moved to France he joined Magnum Photos in 1988( an International photographic
cooperative based in Paris, New York, London and Tokyo and founded in
1947)
Pinkhassov often works for
the internationnal press and loves traveling around the world to take
pictures.
I discovered this
photographer in a book about Magnum Photos and the first picture of
him I saw was this one (I think the colours and details very impressive)
What I love in his work is
the way he plays with colors and light, often artificial and colored
lights that creates a special and mysterious atmosphere and that also
gives an old look to his pictures.
Most of his photos have been
taken in the street without any model posing for him, they are only
moments of life, this is why I love them even more.
i also really enjoy photography, i took some classes when i was still living in aix. His work is absolutely stunning, the photography where subways are in perfect coordination to let us see the couple kissing really got to my heart. You were right about posting an article about him, i am now a fan haha
ReplyDeleteIt's actually the first time I see professional's photographies ! It looks really good, my favorite ones are the two first ones and the one is the subway!
ReplyDeletethaaaanks for the article my deaaar
These colours are soooo beautiful, the photos themselves are amazing, of course, but these coulours truly are striking! I've always been paying particular attention to colours in films, photos, images in general so I might look for more of his works!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing Chiara ^^
Woah, those pictures are really beautiful ! I'm not that good at taking pictures but I really enjoy Professional photographs. I hope you're going to share even more artists like that !! Thanks :**
ReplyDeleteThat photographer is so talented I am really glad to hear about him ! And I hope you will share with us other artists like this one.

ReplyDeleteI just fell in love with these photographies ! The colors are just so beautiful and the athmosphere makes me feel like they could have been taken out of a movie (sorry if this sounds strange but I, at least, understand myself). And the fact that there is no staging (like there are no professional models) makes them even more touching. So thank you so much for this great photographer discovery :)
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of the photographer before but his photos are amazing ! I love the mysterious effect of them and the colours are amazing ! I love how he just takes a picture of something that is happening and just makes it look different with the angles or the light.
ReplyDeleteColors and lights are very impressive. I really love the framing of all theses pictures... We can see it's everyday-life photos, with a little touch of retro style. To me, it's simple but really nice to look.
ReplyDeleteMy favourites pictures are probably the second and the third... Green and red lights give a dark impression... I love it.
Thanks, I've discovered a very interesting artist !
This was an interesting article that I enjoyed a lot! I also love photography, even though I don’t have a thorough knowledge of photographers. This is why I liked the fact that the article was about an artist who is not well-known. I love the style of his photographs and the way they all seem like paintings. This made me want to discover more artists that aren’t very famous, so thank you for making me want to look into photography more!
