mad hatter

Helloooooooo Charlie!
Today i felt like talking to you about one of my favorite books: Alice's adventures in Wonderland!

Alice's adventures lead her into a rabbit hole that brings her to Wonderland! She get's to meet heaps of many curious characters such as the mad hatter, the twins, the Mock turtle and the sadisticly smiling Cheshire Cat!
I personally think the best character, or at least the funniest to be, would be the mad hatter! He's bonkers, out of his head, spends his time taking tea (or not taking it considering most cups are broken) and singing a Very Mery Unbirthday!
He inspired lots of characters, and i'd say his most famous and intruiguing quote would be this one:
Why is a raven like a writing desk?
(I finally figured it out thought!)
An interesting fact would be the origin of the expression "as mad as a hatter". It's quite simple actually, but hats posessed bases made from mercury,Due to long-term exposure, hatters would often develop symptoms of mercury posioning, such as tremors mood-swings, that would make them appear "mad" to others
There are so many different versions of the hatter, but i must admit Tim Burton's was my favorite:

  1. I also love it! I watched the animation so many times as a kid and I also watched the movie by Tim Burton, which is (to my opinion) great! As a matter of fact I like his works in general which explains my opinion.

  2. I loved the animation when I was younger. I've never read the book or watch the movie but I did watch Once Upon A Time and I really loved Sebastian Stan as the hatter. My favourite character used to be the Cheshire cat too.
