Dear Charlie,
Last Thursday there was a meeting with
the MAABN at the British Council. When I heard about it, I immediately volunteered to be one of the five students who would go
there ! Indeed, I took classes at the British Council last
year, and I have such good memories about it ! The four other
volunteers were Tiphaine and Julia (from Première) and King and
Raphael (from Seconde) and I think they enjoyed the meeting as much
as I did !
When we arrived we were all a bit shy
and impressed, but the atmosphere was very friendly and we soon felt at ease and we began to talk to the other people. Even if we were the
only children, they were kind and interested about the OIB section,
so we chatted a lot ! From Vienna to California, or even
Australia, people have come from all around the world. To make it
funnier, the British Council proposed to play a game to mingle :
we had to find basic objects (such as a golden key, a photo, a pen...)
and we almost won !!
We talked about our video about
Belfast, and the British council members proposed to put it on their
website !!
We thank them for everything,Raphael, King, Paloma
I would have liked to be there, but I knew you were going to do a great job to promote the section :)
