OIB poetry contest
Dear Charlie,
I heard you were quite gifted at writing poems. I'd like to remind you that you are more than welcome to participate in the first OIB poetry contest.
The theme is Remembrance

You are free to choose the form and the length that you deem suits your poem best.
The deadline is February 6 2015.
You might otherwise be tempted to participate in the poetry and art competition for 11-16 year olds launched by Never Such Innocence to mark the Centenary of the First World War .
Never Such Innocence is a registered charity in England and Wales dedicated to educating young people on WW1, its impact and legacy. Choose a topic that interests you and produce a piece of art or write a poem inspired by the events of the First World War, expressing your feelings and your thoughts.
The deadline is January 30th 2015 (Sorry for the even shorter notice, I've just found out about it on Schools Online (British Council)

If I were you, I'd give it a try and submit a poem.
Writing a poem is indeed a challenge but it's well-worth the effort and I am confident that you can do it.
Best, Mrs. C
