Meryl Streep, is one of the greatest actresses of all time, she has captivated audiences with her talents and her love for cinema. With a career who started five decades ago and still continues, Streep has earned three Academy Awards and a record 21 nominations, more than any actor or actress in history.
Born in 1949 in Summit, New Jersey, Meryl Streep studied at Vassar College and Yale Drama School before starting her career in theater and television. She became famous in 1979 with Kramer vs. Kramer, which won her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
Some of her most iconic roles :
The Devil Wears Prada in 2006: Streep’s portrait of the fashion editor Miranda Priestly became a cultural phenomenon.
Sophie's Choice in 1982: Her incredible and mouving performance as a Holocaust survivor earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress.
Mamma Mia! in 2008: A departure from drama, Streep showcased her singing talent as Donna Sheridan in the hit musical which is still a classic today
The Iron Lady in 2011: Her roler into British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher won her a third Oscar.
She manage to play so much different roles in her carrier and did incredible performances.
Beyond her acting, Meryl Streep is a big defender for gender equality and social justice.She became one of the greatest Holywood legend and she will be remembered.
