Hello 90s!

Hey Charlie

The quarantine starts to be exhausting... At the beginning of the holidays, I was very bored, but I thought that I could share some things of the 90s, and I found lots of movies, songs and outfits of this decade. I always thought that I wasn't born in the right decade, and I'm sure some of you can relate. I always was interested in the 20s, 50s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, and always heard songs of those decades thanks to my parents, or classic movies. And watching movies of those decades makes me see things different, because things evolve but sometimes I wish they were the way they were in the 50s, or 80s.

So first, I really think that the fashion of the 90's is incredible, like the outfits are pretty simple, but it's lovely. I think that nowadays, fashion is extremely mixed, there are some aspects of the 80s, 90s, 00s, so there are some clothes that you'll recognize because they are used today... Let me show some outfits.

You can also take inspiration from the series 'Friends' or from movies as Clueless, 10 things I hate about you, Jawbreaker, Empire records, Fear, Never Been Kissed, 2 fast 2 furoius, ...

Then, I started to be interested in music and I found great songs, even if some of them are already known but I hope you'll discover some interesting new ones.

Hip Hoop Hooray - Naughty by Nature
Juicy - The Notorious B.I.G.
Tell Me - Groove Theory
I wish - Skee-Lo
No Scrubs - TLC
Killing Me Softly With This Song - Fugees
Wannabe- Spice Girls
It Was A Good Day - Ice Cube
This Is How We Do It - Montell Jordan
I Get Around - Tupac
Remember the Time - Michael Jackson
Still Not A Player - Big Pun
Big Poppa - The Notorious B.I.G.
Crush on You - Lil' Kim
Doo Wop - Lauryn Hill
You Know How We Do It - Ice Cube
Life - Des'ree
Tu M'oublieras - Larusso
Sensualité - Axelle Red
The Rhythm Of The Night - Corona
Creep - Radiohead
Say My Name- Destiny's Child
Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
Lovefool - The Cardigans
All star - Smash Mouth
Wonderwall - Oasis

There's also playlists of the 90's on Deezer, named "En mode 90" or "Back to the 90s"

And finally, here's a list of movies, pretty classic, which released in the 90's.

Ten Things I Hate About You
Pulp Fiction
Clueless
Edward Scissorshands
The Fifth Element
Men In Black
The Sixth Sens
Titanic
The Truman Show
Forrest Gump
Léon: The Professional
Fight Club
Matrix
Home Alone
Jurassic Park

I'm sure you know some of them which are cult, but I hope you don't know all the movies.

If you enjoyed and found some things interesting, I will do another article but more focused on fashion, music or movies, or I will do another one on another decade.

Hoping you enjoy your holidays!

Lilou
