Depeche Mode

Hey Charlie,

Today I'm going to write about a famous group that I particularly enjoy which is Depeche Mode !
I discovered them thanks to my cousin, which is a big fan. I'm going to show you why I love this group 😄

Depeche Mode has been created by Andrew Fletcher, Vince Clarke, Dave Gahan and Martin L. Gore when they were young adults, in 1979. While UK were listening to punk rock, the four boys were creating songs in a style which is called synth pop. A great example of this style is obviously "Just can't get enough" !

After a while, Vince Clarke created his own group : Erasure, which I invite you to listen to !

Depeche Mode made a lot of albums, but there are ones better than others ! Personally, I love Music for the Masses,  Violator, Delta Machine and Spirit.
If studios versions are a real pleasure to listen to, lives are even better, I think ! But I suppose that it is the case for a majority of bands.

I love this group because we can listen to a real evolution in their style over the years. To realize it, you should listen to "Master and Servant" and then to any song from the albums Delta Machine or Spirit.

Then, they make really engaged songs (not all of them) and I invite you to listen to "Where's the Revolution". I can promise that you'll quickly understand what it is about !
(HELLO MUSIC CLUB !)

Dave Gahan, the singer, also has solo albums, that are really deep and not really happy, but still very good !
I could also advise you to listen to the remixes, that I like, even if I prefer the originals !

If I had to choose three songs, it would be :
- Behind the wheel, from Music for the Masses : https://youtu.be/VEAuMiKqP-4
- Where's the Revolution from Spirit
- Personal Jesus (a classic !) : https://youtu.be/u1xrNaTO1bI

Just a link to show you how a show is : https://youtu.be/-_3dc6X-Iwo

Thanks for reading ! See you soon !
