I hope to see you at the first session of the documentary film/debate evening organised by the new English/History Geography cinema club in the presence of the American consulate, open to all the students of the school and I believe of particular interest for the OIB crowd.

Besides, I've just found out that we will have the privilege of meeting and debating with Mrs Annie Polland , Vice President of the Lower East Side Tenement Museum in NYC

I'll be there and I hope that even if the event is not mandatory, I will see you and many OIB students for this special film and special guest straight from America on MONDAY, DECEMBER 14th at 17:45 in the "Salle Polyvalente". The event should last until 7:45 or 8:00 P.M.

DeleteI really liked the movie (even though I did agree a bit with what a guy said about it showing NYC as very open to migrants ect) and the debate! It touched me to see the "journeys" of people of our age. It was very interesting, I am glad I went to this event :)

ReplyDeleteThis film about the immigrants in the United States because I didn't know anything about their life before and so it brought me new informations. In the film we learn how the immigrants came to the United States, where they came from, their integration at school and their progression in the learning english. We followed the life of few of them and it was really touching.
