Hi Charlie! How did the holidays go?
I’ve got something for you. Do you remember – or still know – these times where you gotta scroll down on Edmodo so that you find the post you’re looking for, posted in 364BC? They can happen to be so madly long that you wanna throw your computer out.
I had such a time that morning, and being scrolling down like crazy I found out something to make it happen by yourself with no interaction from yourself. Maybe you already know this, and I’ll appear stupid, and I have to admit I knew that for long and – sadly or hopefully (?) – only remembered it a few hours ago.
So if you want to scroll to find an old Edmodo post:
1- you need a mouse (no trackpads, sorry!);
2- you need a mouse with a central scrolling key.
Such mise are not allowed, as an example.
Basically, what you need is something which looks like that:
Then, go on the Edmodo’s class page, and put your mouse in the centre of the screen.
That being done, press the central scrolling key (press it downwards).
Like thaaat:
(Hi “Paint” thanks bro for being here in my daily life and drawing such beautiful arrows)
Then, this should appear in the middle of the screen. While it is displayed, move your cursor towards the bottom of the screen. It should be scrolling down like mad, but with no action from yourself.
And then, tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
You just gotta wait a little (shouldn’t be long though) and when you see you are in the good time period, click again on the central button to stop scrolling, and... you’ll have reached your destination!
Isn’t that magical?
Well Charlie that wasn’t very cultural or anything very noble but at least it should be helpful, especially if you’re looking for something with a nearing deadline...
Btw, as time never stops, deadlines are always getting closer, aren’t they? Waw.
See y'all in a few days guys!

Test
ReplyDeleteTest received.
DeleteThank you it's really useful (even if I already knew it). I think there should be something like that on Instagram because last time I scrolled on older Instagram posts, and it took me like five minutes to finally find THAT photo.
ReplyDeleteIf someone is interested, press F5 and your Web page will be refreshed, helpful when you are on Gmail, Hotmail (you’re welcome)
(Sorry for the last comment "Test", it was an error)
Oh yeah that's indeed quite useful too!
DeleteWell on Insta just take a great run-up and then throw your finger on the screen and slide it as fast as you can XD
So Toàn, are you implying that mad scrolling down on Edmodo can be tedious? I simply cannot believe it. The fun is in the journey! Seriously, this is indeed quite useful. Many thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm not implying it, I'm saying it out loud!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD
DeleteI'd say it can be fun whenever you have no too close nearing deadline (such as in 3 minutes for example), AND only when the post you're looking for is comprised in the previous 20 days, and not more, especially if, within these 20 days, the Edmodo activity was quite important... after these 20 days, you enter in the jungle, the dark zone, the zone in which the night is calling for you... (gothic!)
yeah man, i have to agree that paint’s arrows are truly pretty. Also, i belive that this fonction is actually available on mousepads, but this truly changed my life. Also, why the hell are you located in Groenland ?
ReplyDeleteOMG Greenland I didn't remember this... well I can't remember by implicit reference XD anyway!
DeleteYeah it's so great of a tip isn't it? (hello Mrs. C can you hear this? maybe it could be a +32 bonus in the involvment grade (just proposing))
Once you have scrolled everything you can combine it with "CTRL+F" which will enable a small window where you can instantly filter and go to specific keywords
ReplyDeleteYeaaah that's just the best thing to do
DeleteI like how this has post has just turned into an IT assistance class
HOW DID I NOT KNOW THAT BEFORE-
ReplyDeleteI always thought you you could do this by just scrolling down very quickly, but looks like I was wrong-
Thank you so much for telling everyone about this, it will definitely be helpful x)
Well mad scrolling down works too, I really used to it 10 TIMES A NIGHT before, but even though it's a bit more active, it's also more deadly in terms of sleeping hours...
DeleteOh okay, thanks for this little article! It may be useful for the futur, I liked the little humurous parts :)
ReplyDeleteAhah thanks ^^ well I have fun as much as I can #covid #lockdown #bigshit
DeleteI’m sure it will indeed change our lives.
ReplyDeleteI can’t believe that us, new OIB students, will only have to remember your article to find old posts on the Edmodo jungle when you spent hours searching for them (and I’m deeply sorry for your dead laptop btw). But hey, you created a new generation of Edmodo experts!
Thank you for the tip ^^
"Edmodo jungle" XD love that! Yeah we're like little Tarzans trying to get out of creepers to find the post which tells you you're late XD
DeleteAnd thanks for my computer, don't worry, it outlived: three years with Edmodo now... it's used to it XD
Hi! Thank you for this article! It is really helpfull!
ReplyDeleteI would never have discovered it by myself, knowing my skills in the computer world XD
Thank you again!
lol XD well I knew the trick but never thought of applying it to Edmodo and it's actually on a lonely night looking for a f****** post that I tried it and it worked ;) XD
Deletewhy can't we have any emojis here?! anyway I'll just keep on using ;) :) :( etc.
I usually press ctrl+f to research a key word I'm looking for, it works too! thank you for the tip tho
ReplyDeleteyuup that's so much of a help too!! ^^
DeleteIt didn't help me, I'm still really bad. You liar. Don't you dare talk to me ever again
ReplyDeleteI think it's just your computer trying to flee because it realised you're too violent for this... try with the camera off maybe
