The two biggest stories of this month of May in England were the election and of course... The Royal Baby !! The Duke and the Duchesse of Cambridge have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. She is their second child and was born on 2 May 2015 at 08:34 at St Mary's Hospital in London. Princess named Charlotte is fourth in line to the throne.
On 8 September 2014, Clarence House, which is the royal residence of announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were expecting the birth of their second child. On 20 October 2014, Kensington Palace announced that the baby was expected in April 2015.
On 2 May 2015, at 08:34 BST, the Duchess gave birth to a daughter who weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces (3.71 kg).
The Duke of Cambridge was present at the birth. The baby was delivered naturally and was shown to the public for the first time outside the hospital with her parents, less than 10 hours after she was born.
In the evening of the following day, landmarks such as Tower Bridge, London Eye and the Trafalgar Square fountains in London and the First Peace Tower in Ottawa, Ontario, were illuminated pink to mark the princess's birth. On 4 May, gun salutes were fired at Hyde Park and the Tower of London. Later that day, her name was announced as Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
The Twitter account of Kensington Palace tweeted her birth certificate the 5th of May. Which teach us some interesting things about the new born and her parents.
To conclude, the fact that they have to fill in a birth certificate shows that the royal family is an English family like any other. Although their residence is "Kensington Palace, London W8 4PU".
