Today I'm going to talk about the benefits of the cocoa....
Made from the seed of the cocoa tree, chocolate is one of the best sources of antioxidants on the planet. There is a lot of studies which show that chocolate have real benefits and can improve health (especially dark chocolate because there is less sugar but I know there is a lot of people who have a preference for milk chocolate.... It's still good for health if there is not only sugar... I'm not talking about white chocolate because it's absolutely full of bad things, sorry for the white chocolate lovers.. .Personally, my favourite one is the dark chocolate!!!)
Anyway, If you buy quality chocolate with a high cocoa content, then it is actually quite nutritious.
1)In fact in 100 grams there are a lot of good things, it contains soluble fiber and it is loaded with minerals....:) There is magnesium and it also contains stimulants like caffeine, but the amount of caffeine is very small compared to coffee so you will sleep don't worry!!
Of course 100 grams every day might be too much because usually there is also a lot of sugar and all this nutrients come with 600 calories so do not eat 100 grams of chocolate every day, it is best consumed in moderation. ;)
2)There is one study which showed that cocoa and dark chocolate contained more antioxidant activity, than other fruits they tested, which included blueberries... (so if you don't want to eat blueberries you can eat chocolate... Sometimes....)
3)The bioactive that cocoa contains can improve blood flow in the arteries and cause a small (but statistically significant) decrease in blood pressure.
4) Dark chocolate improves several important risk factors for disease. (so if you don't want to have a disease, eat chocolate...)
5)Observational studies show a big reduction in heart disease risk for the people who consume the most chocolate (same thing...)
6) Dark chocolate may protect your skin against the sun!!!!!
Isn't that great?!
7) The good news isn’t over yet.... Dark chocolate may also improve the function of the brain.
That's true, in fact,one study of healthy volunteers showed that 5 days of consuming cocoa improved blood flow to the brain....:D so cooooool!!
This article is over, unfortunately, but for all those reasons you can, now, eat chocolate (dark if possible) without feeling guilty....;)
