: o )
Okay, so basically, What is Homestuck? Is this a anime, a video game, a cartoon?
No actually it's an interactive webcomic, but you'll soon understand why there are so many confusions about it.
It was created by Andrew Hussie, and it's the fourth and longest of his webcomics that are a part of MSPaint Adventures (don't worry it's not actually drawn on ms paint). They all are sorts of parodies to point&click games but actually become even greater than just parodies to be some of the greatest webcomics on internet. It is surely one of the most long webcomics on internet since it will soon have 10 000 pages. But don't get intimidated by this number because as soon as you'll begin, it will get more and more addicting and without even noticing it you'll be at the 5000 ^w^ And if you are a very lazy person you can watch some Let's Read where people dub the texts and dialogs (and they are really good at it). Homestuck is also famous to have an incredibly large cast of characters that are all special and lovable.
(and here is only a few of them) |
So i've been throwing numbers and facts at you since the beginning of the article without even telling you what it's about. I could fill pages trying to find a way to explain the plot but it would never end and it is hard to make you understand without spoiling. And would really want you guys to discover it fully by yourself.
So let's just say that it's about four kids that play a game together ;3
Now let's talk about the most interesting and funny part about it: The Fandom
The Homestuck fandom is mostly by far the most massive and present on internet. And it is very famous for the incredible amount of fanmade content they produce. Fanfics, comics, mangas, anime, drawings, videos, songs, games, cosplays, even musicals! Also lots and lots of famous memes, such as the LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT HOMESTUCK that i put at the beginning of the article.
They are know for their very strong link and collaboration with Hussie. He trolls them a lot because he is evil (that's a fact) and they respond by many different ways.
Now but seriously, the Homestuck universe so much immersive that once you get inside of it, you can't get out (Or at least it is very hard).
Even if the fans can sometimes show a negative image they're nothing but devoted and caring about that Webcomic that ties them all together. It's more like a family than a group of people with the same interest. But as always, i'm exagerating.)
I would even say that Homestuck changed my life and inspired me a lot. It is one of the reasons I'm making my own webcomic that is gonna make lots of references to it. So it would be sad if you wanted to read it and did not get them. I didn't talk about everything (such as ships, other fandoms that are close ect...) because i wanted to make it not too long.
Anyways that's all for today folks !
I'm still really sorry to not be present on the blog and i will try to make more articles and comments. I'm litteraly going to
Massinissa/Dipper (yes it was me what a plot twist)
oh yeah, and here's a hint about my next article: "A friendly RPG where you don't have to kill anybody ;3 "
Have a good week end everybody \(^0^)/
You really needed to bold "the Fandom", didn't you
ReplyDeleteThe words "the fandom" are *always* the most important ones, in any sentence. It is just logical that they are bolded, or italicised, or underlined, or all of this at once.
DeleteThe drawing style reminds me of Adventure Time. And this is why Internet is awesome: this kind of things couldn't exist otherwise ;)
ReplyDeleteI loved your article ! Discovering your world is always rewarding in a funny way and I would be really happy to hear from you every week !
ReplyDeletePS: When I saw that this article was written by a "Dipper/Machi" I knew right away that it was you!
Yayyyyyyy Homestuck !!! I really need to continue it ! :D
