My Christmas classics

Hi Charlie,
I guess, it's my turn to contribute to this year's musical advent calendar and - possibly- fuel the heated debate a little more.

Here are a few I selected:

I'm more a Muppet and Sesame Street than a Chipmunk type.

And the good ol' crooners... Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra

I personally LOVE Christmas carols.
I cannot even think of decorating the Christmas tree and baking Christmas cookies without full-blast Christmas songs in the background.
And even worse, I sing along and so do my children (the disease's spreading!)
I love them all,  the cheesier, the better.

But isn't it what Christmas is about? Love it and celebrate it!

I'm well aware that I'm clearly biased, but it's the time of the year to be sentimental and irrational.
Embrace and bask in the Christmas spirit and pooh on the grouchy Scrooges!

Best,
Mrs. C

  1. No no no, this is not the way it's supposed to be done. We're supposed to have one new song per day until Xmas, not four !
...sorry. Bad joke. It's true that having over 24 songs was not what I had planned in my mind, but I don't mind, I have already adjusted ;)

    1. It's like the calendar, when you miss days, you get them back later, so four is just fine c: (if Mrs Choffrut actually played by the rules, there would have been five songs u.u)

  2. You're absolutely right, Judith, I didn't play by the rules...I guess I got carried away :p
But anyway, it can be good at times not to follow the crowd.
I'm glad you were able to adjust :)

  3. Well, here, it wasn't getting back the days, it was getting ahead of time, which is fine with chocolates too :3
Are you saying that there would've been five songs because the article was posted on the fifth ? Because there have been songs posted all week long, and I thought the rule was : one song a day, posted by one of the teachers (or a student, maybe, we'll see how it evolves), not one song per day per person in the debate...

  4. As far as I know, since I didn't start it, the implicit rules which I cheerfully ignored were indeed 1 song/day, posted by a teacher or a student.
But I like the idea of the number of songs equivalent to the date. Is anyone up to a 25- song-challenge on Christmas day to conclude the calendar with panache?

    1. Maybe everyone could try to participate ? We might end up with over 25 songs in that case ^^'
But sadly, I think we won't be able to keep on increasing the number of songs everyday until Christmas :c
