" A horse! A horse! My kingdom for a horse!"

My kingdom for a hearse
Paul Thomas. Daily Express

Dear Charlie,
You may be wondering about this post's heading.
I am not trying to profess a sudden passion for horses, or a desperate need to ride away.
Nor is this a more or less subtle attempt at hinting at the Shakespeare on the OIB literature program next year.
I am quite confident, you recognized the quote from King Richard III. (V,4 )
If you haven't read it, here is a sample of other famous quotes as appetizers:
“Dispute not with her: she is lunatic.”

“So wise so young, they say, do never live long.”

“Out of my sight! Thou dost infect mine eyes.”

“And thus I clothe my naked villainy

With odd old ends stol'n out of holy writ;

And seem a saint, when most I play the devil.”

No beast so fierce but knows some touch of pity. But I know none, and therefore am no beast.”

 Food for thought, isn't it?

It is always  quite a pleasure to refer to Shakespeare and his play. So I hereby challenge the OIB students and the readers of this blog to post their favorite quote by Shakespeare in a comment.
But I also have another reason for particularly focusing on Richard III.
I've just read an interesting article in the Guardian.

Have you been following the debates about him and his remains?

Do read these articles, if you get the chance.

Best,

Mrs. C
