What in the world is snot

Here's a story : I was sick once. Also I felt very angry at my nose. Snot is quite annoying. The thought of it keeps me awake at night, also the fact that I can't breathe. So I asked in my svt spé and guess what, I didn't discover anything

Now I asked google, and in the process of documenting this article, I saw images that will never leave me. I don't wish that to anyone. I'm a hero in that way. For your own sake do not try "snotty nose". 

For starters I find it fascinating how colourful it can be

I forgot to explain what it is.

Snot is made of water mostly and ANTIBODIES, so there actually is a purpose to it.

It's made to : 

- protect you against pathogens, 

- help hydrate the sinuses

 

BUT WHERE DOES IT COME FROM, you may ask. Sometimes it feels like there's a never-ending stock but the nose is so small so like where? Well there are glands that produce it. 

FUN FACTS : 

- you swallow it all the time and you don't even know ( ewwww ) 

- you can buy funny fake snot and look like this

Apparently there are also several consistencies but I'm no expert. I think mostly that every snot is unique in its way. Also if you eat dirt it'll make it thicker.
